HBGW Launch Event
This will be the first event of Harborough Big Green Week. The Green Street at the carnival showground will be full of stalls showcasing local groups who are all doing their bit to tackle climate change. There will be games and activities for all ages to take part in, eco friendly products to buy, and useful hints and tips to help you reduce your carbon footprint.

Micro Big Green Bike Ride
Leaving from Symington’s Rec at 9.30am, we will cycle along the Brampton Valley Way to Waterloo Farm Cafe for a coffee and a chat, it’s under 2miles each way, so great for new or returning cyclists. We’ll be back at the Carnival show ground by 11am, ready to watch the procession. Due to u3a insurance, this is over 18s only, but no limit on numbers, just turn up on the day.

The day will be a showcase of all things farming, providing an opportunity to see farm machinery up close, talk with experts about sustainable farming, get involved in activities and attend a tractor ride around the farm looking at the work the Allerton Project does. The day will involve activities for children and an opportunity to connect with nature. Free entry, with an opportunity to purchase cream teas on site.
