HBGW Launch Event

This will be the first event of Harborough Big Green Week, with a theme of 'Big Swaps and Little Swaps'. The Green Street at the carnival showground will be full of stalls showcasing local groups who are all doing their bit to tackle climate change. There will be games and activities for all ages to take part in, eco friendly products to buy, and useful hints and tips to help you make swaps that will reduce your carbon footprint.

Open Public Meeting, with guest speakers Darren Woodiwiss (Councillor with responsibility for Environment and Climate Change on Harborough District Council) and Helen Chadwick (Environmental Officer for Harborough District Council)

An interactive session based on the book by Mike Berners-Lee. Aimed at helping you really understand the carbon footprint of things you do everyday such as eating, travelling, household jobs, shopping. Free admission and free refreshments.

An opportunity for local businesses to gain ideas and solutions to reduce their carbon footprint and become more environmentally friendly. Also a chance for businesses to find out about green grants available to them through the council. Admission and refreshments are free, but pre-booking is required.
