The charity Possible, that brings people together to help tackle climate change, has just produced a report on private jet flights from the UK. It's quite a shocking read.
Here are the key findings :
One in ten flights leaving the UK today is a private jet flight.
These flights are up to 20-30 times more polluting than standard flights.
Three quarters of private jet flights are paying either no air passenger tax at all, or the same rate of tax as people flying on ordinary flights.
Some private jet companies are selling their flights as “guilt-free” and “carbon-neutral”, despite their huge emissions.
