Sustainable Harborough Community presents Bike Week 2022 - A Cycling Celebration.
The Transport Action Group of Sustainable Harborough Community have booked a stall at the Carnival on Saturday June 11th to promote and celebrate cycling as part of Cycling UK Bike Week 2022. 6th – 12th June https://www.cyclinguk.org/bikeweek
It is a great opportunity to promote cycling in Harborough and the routes and groups available to people. Sustrans will also be represented on the stall together with Harborough Welland u3a cycling group.
As part of this, Kevin Milliard from u3a will lead a short ride from Symington Rec, limited to 50 people on the morning of the carnival, departing at 9.30 so as to not interfere with the 10k race. The route is South along the Brampton Valley Way to Waterloo Farm Leisure, where we stop for refreshments, before returning to the Rec around 10.30.
The ride it is very much aimed at adults who have not ridden for some time and may not be very confident on the road hence the route along the Brampton Valley Way.
Places on the Ride need to be booked in advance at Eventbrite page, you must be over 18.
