The Square in the centre of Market Harborough.

Discover new ways of climate-friendly farming.

Good for food, soils, farmers, bees and trees. 

This event is completely FREE,

But bring a few pennies because we will have food for sale from Farrinheight Foods and Dreamy Cow Ice Cream and produce from local farmers.

Come and meet
Charlotte the Highland Cow

Farmer Angus Clarke is bringing Charlotte the Highland Cow to visit from Waterloo Cottage Farm (in nearby Northamptonshire). 

Discount vouchers for the Waterloo Cottage Farm Shop will be available, and jam for sale from Gemma the jam maker. 

Meet with Farmers

Meet our 5 visiting local farmers and talk about topics including new, old and regenerative ways of farming, conservation and agroforestry.

On The Square you will find farmers from Buckwell Organic, Waterloo Cottage Farm, Blaston Estate and more.

Beehives and Beekeepers

Leicestershire and Rutland Beekeepers Association will be showing a virtual beehive so we can see what happens within a hive, and why bees are so important to farming and biodiversity.

Tractors - Three Tractors!

Local tractor enthusiasts will be bringing three tractors to The Square! 

(Though definitely not the tractor in the stock image we found!)

Sheep and Lambs

A sheep and lambs will be visiting the square!

LCC Waste Initiative Team

An opportunity to learn how to reduce food waste. Come and grab some tips, and perhaps some freebies too. 

Rural Crime Team

Meet police and firefighters from the rural crime team.

Harborough Woodland

 

Flooding brings various problems to farming including damage to habitats and reduced available land for use.

Harborough Woodland have been working together with local landowners, experts, and volunteers to make changes to the Harborough landscape.

National Allotment Society

Find out about compost and no-dig gardening and other ways to achieve healthier soil.

Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust

Join LRWT to learn about how we can reverse biodiversity loss.
