Bud&Bean was founded by mum of two, Abby, as she could not bear to see her children’s outgrown, but perfectly good, children’s clothes be sent to landfill. Bud&Bean is based in the main room of The EcoVillage, and caters for children 0-6 years. The ethos of the business is to sell on perfectly good children’s clothing and equipment, for amazing prices, and keeping items out of landfill.
Description of Organisation or Services
The business has recycling at its heart. It is our aim to make buying Preloved a social norm, and to only buy new if it is an absolute necessity. It is almost a return to how things once were. The textile industry is one of the worst offenders for polluting our world, and throwaway fashion has become acceptable. Buying Preloved is one of the best things you can do for the planet, as these items already exist. Bud&Bean want to extend the life of a product to subsidise the amount of children’s equipment being sent to landfill and inevitably damaging our planet.
