Tree Planting Event

Replanting of a recently cleared area in Welland Park. Over 200 trees and shrubs will need planting, starting with larger ones on Saturday, and moving on to smaller ones on Sunday. Volunteers of all will be welcome. Bring a spade, gardening gloves and suitable clothes.

About the Event
Market Harborough Rotary Club has successfully raised enough money through grants from The Branching Out Fund and the Market Harborough & the Bowdens Charity to plant 206 trees and shrubs in Welland Park. The area of planting is on the left of the main gate as you enter the park.
We will begin planting the larger trees on Friday 15 March and smaller ones on Saturday 16 March. We would like as many volunteers as possible to help us. If you are part of a group or a club or an individual, please join us in this venture. Bring a spade, gardening gloves and suitable clothes. There will be jobs for youngsters as well as the opportunity to to help plant smaller shrubs.
